Gareth Carter

Gareth Carter is a Clinical Exercise Physiologist with extensive experience in rehabilitation programs, currently serving as the lead clinician for a community stroke program at ABI Rehabilitation New Zealand since February 2023. Gareth has been instrumental in developing specialized programs such as the Gareth Ūpoko Tapu holistic Māori stroke initiative and a Long COVID recovery program. Previous roles include positions at Medifit and The Selwyn Foundation, along with a tenure as a Healthy Lifestyle Advisor at Sport Auckland and Exercise Physiologist at Medstrength. Gareth holds a Master of Science in Clinical Exercise Physiology from The University of Auckland and a Bachelor of Sport and Recreation from Auckland University of Technology.
