Andrew Greenfield, Abiomed’s president, has served in a leadership capacity at Abiomed since joining the company in 2005, including serving as a Section 16 Officer and named executive officer of Abiomed. Before being appointed president in 2022, Andrew served as executive vice president and chief commercial officer for four years. Prior to that, he was vice president and general manger of global healthcare solutions.
Before joining Abiomed, Andrew held positions in sales, marketing and finance at GE Healthcare and The Boeing Company. Andrew has served as chairman and executive committee member for MassMEDIC, a public-private partnership that coordinates resources used in managing medical devices to improve patient access to cutting-edge medical technology. He is also a past executive committee member with the Medical Device Innovation Consortium (MDIC), which is advancing safer and more cost-effective innovations to benefit patients.
Andrew holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Illinois and a Master of Business Administration degree from St. Louis University. He is also a certified Master Blackbelt in Six Sigma and Change Acceleration Process from GE.
