Saraa El-Assir

Saraa El-Assir currently serves as an Agricultural Worker and Immigrant Rights Staff Attorney at Advocates for Basic Legal Equality, Inc., a position held since May 2023. Prior experience includes a role as a Law Clerk at Ohio State Legal Services Association from May 2022 to August 2022, and as a Legal Intern at CAIR-Ohio during the summer of 2021. Saraa also contributed as an Education Mentor for Students Organize for Syria in 2019. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Law (JD) with a focus on Immigration from The University of Toledo College of Law (2020-2023) and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government and Middle East Studies from The University of Toledo (2015-2019).
