Xinghao Chen has a broad range of work experience in the field of transportation engineering. Starting in 2014, they worked as an Assistant Engineer at Henan Henghui Property Group Limited. In 2016, they gained experience as a Retail Assistant at Kiwi Art LTD., where they interacted with customers and provided product knowledge. From 2016 to 2018, Xinghao worked at Da Vinci Transport Planning and Research, first as an Assistant Engineer, conducting technical analysis and completing tasks to a high standard, and then as a Project Contractor & Traffic Survey Supervisor, managing projects and providing transportation recommendations based on survey data. From 2018 to 2021, Xinghao served as a Transport Planning Engineer at Waipā District Council, where they contributed to various projects, including the Innovating Street, Tactical Urbanism Project, and the implementation of the Speed Management Guide. Since 2021, Xinghao has been employed at Auckland Transport as a Senior Transportation Engineer, leading the speed limit review and safety improvements for rural networks. In February 2023, they will start a new position as a Senior Transportation Engineer at Abley. Xinghao's work experience demonstrates their expertise in transportation engineering, project management, community engagement, and analytical skills.
Xinghao Chen completed their high school education at Taylors College from 2013 to 2014. Xinghao pursued a Foundation Year in Mathematics, English, Physics, Statistics, and Computer Science during this time. Following that, they attended The University of Auckland from 2014 to 2017, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. Additionally, in December 2017, Xinghao obtained the certification of Level 1 Site Traffic Management Supervisor (STMS) from the NZ Transport Agency. In August 2017, they also achieved the Level 1 Traffic Controller certification from the same institution.
