Gabriel L. has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering and web design. Their most recent role is as a Full Stack Engineer at Abodu, starting in June 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Software Engineer at Fig - Food Is Good from August 2020 to June 2021. Gabriel also has experience as a Software Engineer at Made Renovation from May 2020 to August 2020, and as a Frontend Engineer at NexTravel from May 2020 to June 2020.

In addition to their software engineering roles, Gabriel has also worked as a Frontend Engineer at Housable in May 2020, where they designed and built an annotation tool for the design approval process of homeowners building an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU).

Gabriel has further experience as a Frontend Engineer at VIDA & Co. from October 2016 to May 2020, where they built the VIDA web app using React/Redux and a Go/Java/Node backend. Gabriel also worked on the Shopify storefront.

Furthermore, Gabriel has pursued side projects, including Unity Button, a project they launched in March 2020 using Mapbox, Node.js, React, web sockets, and MongoDB. Gabriel also co-founded ventur, a platform for bicycle touring enthusiasts to share their stories, gear, maps, and tips. This project utilized technologies such as React/Redux, GraphQL/Apollo, and Rails.

Before entering the tech industry, Gabriel worked as an Artist/Maker from October 2013 to May 2018. Additionally, they gained experience as a contract Web Designer at Titan AG in August 2016, where they developed a minimalistic e-commerce site with a plant-based theme for the company.

Gabriel L. earned their Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Studies, with a concentration in Business Economics, from UC Santa Barbara. Gabriel attended this institution from 2008 to 2012. In 2013, Gabriel furthered their education by enrolling in the Front-End Development Track at Treehouse. Gabriel completed this program in 2015, enhancing their skillset in the field of Web Development.
