Fran Jurga is an accomplished editor, publisher, and freelance writer with extensive experience in equine health and related fields since 1985. Currently serving as the editor and publisher of the Equine-Assisted Services Research Report, launched in January 2023, Fran Jurga provides insights into current research on equine-assisted services and horse-human interaction. As the founder of Hoofcare Publishing, Jurga has developed an award-winning journal and digital resources focused on equine lameness and hoof care. Past roles include content creation for EQUUS Magazine and special projects for major events such as the London 2012 Olympics and the film "War Horse." Additionally, Fran Jurga has experience as an aquarium and natural history exhibition consultant and has been actively involved in book promotion for notable titles. Fran Jurga holds a BA in Communication from Simmons University and has undertaken studies at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design.
