Caron Levis is a Part-Time Professor and Coordinator for the Writing for Children & Young Adults MFA Creative Writing program at The New School, where Caron has been active since January 2011 and took on the coordinator role in fall 2013. As an accomplished author, Caron has published several children's books with ABRAMS, Simon and Schuster, Farrar, Straus and Giroux, and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. In addition to writing, Caron serves as a Group Facilitator at the Jewish Board of Family and Children's Services, conducting loss and bereavement groups for students. Caron is also a Creative Workshop Facilitator, enhancing emotional vocabulary and communication skills in children and supporting educators. Educational credentials include a Master of Social Work from Hunter College and an MFA in Creative Writing from The New School.
