Megan Carlson

Megan Carlson is an experienced managing editor currently at ABRAMS since January 2020, overseeing a diverse range of titles for children's imprints across various age groups, including infant, children's, middle-grade, and young adult literature. Prior to this role, Megan served as an associate managing editor at Oxford University Press from September 2015 to December 2019, where responsibilities included managing editorial tasks for engineering and earth sciences textbooks. Earlier experience includes positions as an editorial assistant at Drexel University, where Megan developed writing skills among students, and as a test development assistant at the National Board of Medical Examiners, contributing to the USMLE test creation. Megan's foundational experience also includes an internship at Writopia Lab, assisting young children in their writing workshops. Megan holds a degree in English with a focus on Creative Writing from Drexel University and studied abroad in London through the Foundation for International Education.
