James Howard

James Howard has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. James started their career as a Scuba Diving Instructor at Aquacamp Diving Academy in 1998 and worked there until 2004. In 2005, they joined Caterpillar Inc. as an Engineering Shop Liaison, where they dealt with troubleshooting production line issues and design development. James continued their journey at Caterpillar Inc. as a Marine Customer Service Engineer from 2006 to 2007.

In 2007, James moved to the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), where they held various roles. James started as an NHAT Surveyor and later became a Surveyor. James then progressed to the role of Senior Surveyor, specializing in the survey and certification of drilling and well control equipment. As a Senior Surveyor, they managed two teams and served as a team lead for GE Hydril and GE Vetco. James eventually became a Principal Surveyor, a position they currently hold at ABS.

James Howard's education history is as follows:

- From 2021 to 2023, they attended the Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.

- From 2018 to 2020, they studied at Sam Houston State University, where they earned a Master of Education (MEd) degree in Curriculum and Instruction.

- From 2001 to 2005, they attended Tulane University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME).

- From 1997 to 2001, they completed their high school education at Grady High School.

In addition to their formal education, James Howard also obtained various certifications, including a Strategic Leadership & Management Specialization from the Gies College of Business, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and several courses from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign through Coursera.
