Keegan Plaskon

Keegan Plaskon has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and companies. Keegan started their career at Coastal Tankships in 2001 as a Third Assistant Engineer. Keegan then moved on to NOAA in 2002, where they worked as a Second Engineer until 2006. In 2006, Keegan joined the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) as a Surveyor and worked their way up to become a Senior Surveyor, Principal Surveyor, and later a Client Manager. Their most recent role at ABS is Director of Business Development, starting in April 2018.

Keegan Plaskon holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the United States Merchant Marine Academy, which they obtained from 1997 to 2001. Keegan then pursued a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Virginia from 2003 to 2006. Keegan is currently enrolled in the William & Mary – Raymond A. Mason School of Business, where they are pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications in conflict resolution, business presentations, effective listening, adaptability during change and uncertainty, social success at work, problem-solving in business, and better business writing from LinkedIn in 2021.
