Nick Bizic

Nick Bizic has extensive work experience in various HR and talent management roles. Nick currently holds the position of Vice President, Talent Management & Learning at the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), a role they have held since 2022. Prior to this, they were the Director of Global Talent Development at ABS from 2018 to 2022.

Before joining ABS, Nick worked as the CHRO (Global Head of HR) at Golder Associates in 2016 and 2017. Nick also served as the Global HR Director at Fugro N.V. from 2005 to 2016, where they held the highest HR position reporting directly to the CEO.

Nick's early career involved working as the HR Director at Astorino, which was later acquired by Cannon Design. Nick started their career in 1993 at American Financial Group / Infiniti Insurance as a Claims Representative and later became a Claims Manager.

Nick then obtained a Master's Degree in Public & International Affairs (MPIA) with a focus on International Affairs from the same university from 1992 to 1993. In 2001, they pursued a Master of Science in Human Resource Management at La Roche University, which they completed in 2004. Nick also participated in executive education programs, including the Rice Advanced Management Program (RAMP) at Rice Business - Jones Graduate School of Business, where they completed the program in 2020. Nick obtained executive education certificates from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Artificial Intelligence, Harvard Business School for HR, and UCLA Anderson School of Management for HR. Moreover, Nick obtained additional certifications, including "Accelerating Digital Transformation as Offices Reopen" and "Beacon: Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging for Leaders" from LinkedIn. Nick also holds the SHRM-SCP (Senior Certified Professional) certification from the Society for Human Resource Management, obtained in July 2015.
