Brendon Borgia

Brendon Borgia has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries, with a strong focus on technology and engineering roles. Brendon is currently the Head of Engineering for Absa GSO at Absa Group, a position they have held since April 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Technology Lead - Engineering at Absa Group from November 2022 to April 2023. Brendon also held the role of Lead Solution Architect at Absa Group from July 2020 to November 2022.

Before joining Absa Group, Brendon worked at ModusBPS, a business process systems company within Absa. Brendon held various roles at ModusBPS, including Lead Architect from February 2018 to July 2020, Business Architect/Analyst from September 2016 to July 2020, and Business Analyst/Development Manager from September 2014 to September 2016. In these roles, they led the analysis, business architecture, and process implementation for projects such as the implementation of new legal/CRM software and process re-engineering.

Prior to ModusBPS, Brendon worked as a Business Development Manager/Project Manager at Terrapinn from December 2012 to August 2014. Brendon also served as a Marketing and Sales Manager at Tasty Chips from 2011 to 2012 and as an Operations Manager at Canterbury Transport from March 2009 to August 2011. Brendon began their career as a Marketing Manager at UJFM 95.4 from January 2007 to December 2008.

Brendon Borgia completed a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) in Marketing from the University of Johannesburg between 2005 and 2008. Prior to that, they attended Fourways High School and obtained their Matric qualification between 2000 and 2005. Brendon also holds additional certifications in various fields, including Building Strategic Agility from Duke University, Amazon Web Services Security Specialty from Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Leadership from the University of Stellenbosch Business School. Brendon has also obtained AWS Solution Architect and AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional certifications from Amazon. Brendon also possesses an MBA in Specialized Sales, Merchandising, and Marketing Operations from learning management systems, although the specific start and end years are not provided.
