Nigel Bakker

Nigel Bakker is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in architecture and integration roles across various industries. Currently serving as a Technology Lead and Lead Architect at Absa Group since October 2017, Nigel focuses on API architecture for Virtual Channels and heads technology for Alternative Business Models within the bank's FinTech division. Prior to this, a successful tenure at Dariel Solutions involved serving as an SOA and Integration Architect, implementing systems for a large media company. Earlier roles include Enterprise Systems Architect at Automated Outsourcing Systems Limited, Owner of Guruhut, and positions at Software Futures and Natech Solutions, emphasizing expertise in system architecture, project management, and strategic technology selection.
