Niren Mungar Ram

Niren Mungar Ram is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in operational leadership and data analytics within the financial services sector. Currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer and Lead Data Analytics for CIB Human Capital at Absa Group since December 2015, Niren has also held roles such as Head of Digital Strategy, Research & Experimentation and Vice President of the Chief Data Office. Additionally, Niren contributes as an Advisory Board Member at the University of Cape Town. Previous experience includes a tenure as a Management Consultant at Monocle Solutions, a Quantitative Analyst at FNB South Africa, and a Researcher at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Niren holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Management Information Systems from the University of Cape Town and multiple degrees in Chemical Engineering, as well as qualifications in international business and banking risk management.
