Thembani Chauke

Thembani Chauke has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. They started their career as an intern at Oracle and later worked as a Junior Oracle DBA at Liberty Life. Thembani then held various roles at different companies, including T-Systems as an Oracle DBA, Barclays Africa Group Limited as a Specialist Database Administrator and Oracle Technology Lead, and QNB Group as an Oracle Database Administrator. They also worked at Protea Sunrise Youth Community Project as the Chairman of the Board of Directors and played a crucial role in leading the organization. Thembani's most recent positions include working at Absa Group as a Lead Support Engineer and an Oracle Database Engineer Team Lead, and at Tokologo Self Help Centre for Quadriplegics as the Deputy Secretary, Secretary of the Board of Directors, and Treasurer. Throughout their career, Thembani has gained extensive experience in database administration and leadership roles in various organizations.

Thembani Chauke completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration (PDBA) from Wits Business School in 2019. In 2006, they obtained a 10g DBA certification from Oracle University SA. Prior to that, Thembani attended Vaal University of Technology from 2003 to 2005, where they obtained a Diploma in Computer Systems Engineering. Additionally, Thembani has acquired several certifications, including AWS Certified Database - Specialty from Amazon Web Services, EDB Certified Associate - PostgreSQL 12 from ENTERPRISEDB SOFTWARE INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED, ITIL v3 Foundation from APMG International, and LogicMonitor Certified Associate from LogicMonitor, Inc. Thembani also holds Oracle 10g OCP and Oracle 11g OCP certifications.
