Namita Varudkar

Namita Varudkar, Ph.D., is a Scientist at Absci since April 2022, with extensive experience in biomedical research. Prior roles include Graduate Research Assistant and Lab Manager/Research Technician in Dr. Griffith Parks Lab at the University of Central Florida from August 2014 to April 2022, where research focused on innate immune responses to various RNA viruses and their application as oncolytic virus vectors for tumor growth restriction. Namita Varudkar has employed numerous molecular and virology techniques, maintained multiple cell lines, and managed the laboratory's operations and personnel training, ensuring adherence to GLP and EHS guidelines. Namita Varudkar also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Central Florida, effectively teaching physiology to undergraduate students. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences and an MS in Biotechnology from the University of Central Florida, along with a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from Bombay College of Pharmacy.
