William Poole

William Poole is a Computational Scientist II at Altos Labs since August 2022, focusing on integrating machine learning, informatics, mechanistic modeling, and software engineering through interdisciplinary collaboration. Prior experience includes a postdoctoral researcher role at Caltech from September 2015 to June 2022, exploring the relationship between biochemical networks and machine learning architectures, and contributing to biological modeling software. Additional roles include data analytics consultant, bioinformatics researcher at the Institute for Systems Biology, and high school math teacher at Eastside Preparatory School. William Poole holds a PhD in Computation and Neural Systems from Caltech and a BS in Biological Physics from Brown University.
