Samuel Tsang

Samuel (Yiu Huen) Tsang is a Senior Scientist at Absci since June 2022, contributing to pharmacology studies and disease biology modeling within the Disease Biology team. Previously, Samuel served as a Research Assistant Professor at Oregon Health and Science University, focusing on high-throughput pharmacodynamics imaging and functional genomics related to HER2 mutations. Prior experience includes a Postdoctoral Associate role at Baylor College of Medicine, where Samuel co-developed the HiTTMoB technology for cancer mutation studies, and a Graduate Student position at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, working on shRNA libraries and cell imaging. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, postdoctoral training at Baylor College of Medicine, and ongoing studies in Drug Discovery and Development at Harvard Medical School.
