Braeden Anderson

Braeden Anderson has a diverse work experience in the legal and financial industries. Braeden is currently the Chief Executive Officer & Board Chair at Absecon Capital, Inc., a role they took on in September 2023 after co-founding the company in June 2021.

Prior to their current position, Braeden worked as an Assistant General Counsel, Regulatory at Robinhood from April 2023 to September 2023. Braeden also served as an Associate at Kirkland & Ellis from October 2021 to April 2023, focusing on representing financial institutions and other clients in various investigations and enforcement actions.

Before joining Kirkland & Ellis, Braeden worked as an Associate at Sidley Austin LLP from September 2018 to October 2021, where they specialized in representing broker-dealers, investment advisers, and other financial institutions in investigations and enforcement actions.

Braeden also gained experience as an Adjunct Professor of Corporate & Securities Law at Monroe College from April 2019 to September 2021. Prior to that, they were a Legal Extern, Enforcement at FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) from January 2018 to April 2018.

Braeden started their legal career as a Summer Associate at Sidley Austin LLP in 2017 and as a Judicial Law Clerk at the U.S. District Court in 2016.

Before pursuing a legal career, Braeden had a successful collegiate basketball career. Braeden played for Seton Hall University from May 2015 to May 2016 and for California State University, Fresno from January 2012 to May 2015.

Braeden Anderson has a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree from Seton Hall University School of Law. Braeden also holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Criminology and Forensic Behavioral Science from California State University, Fresno. Braeden attended Wilbraham & Monson Academy for high school, where they studied Pre-Law Studies. Additionally, they completed their secondary education at Foothills Composite High School. Anderson has obtained licenses to practice law from both the New York State Bar Association and the Bar Association of the District of Columbia.
