Stephanie Gowing

Stephanie Gowing, LEED AP, MES, currently serves as the Sustainability Director at Absher Construction Company since January 2022. Prior to this role, Gowing worked as a Strategic Advisor for the Green Economy with the City of Seattle from July 2014 to January 2022 and as the Recycling Program Coordinator for the City of Kirkland from September 2013 to July 2014. Gowing's experience also includes roles as the Sustainable Business Coordinator at the Environmental Coalition of South Seattle from February 2011 to September 2013 and as the TacomaACTS Director at the Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber of Commerce from May 2010 to February 2011. Earlier in career, Gowing was an Environmental Consultant at Compliance Services International from August 2005 to May 2010. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Planning and Policy from Western Washington University, a Master's degree in Environmental Studies from The Evergreen State College, a Sustainable Building Advisor certificate from Olympic College, and LEED AP accreditation from the U.S. Green Building Council.
