Heather Holemon

Heather Holemon has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Heather currently holds the position of Chief Executive Officer at Absolute Biotech starting in December 2018. Prior to this, they worked as an Entrepreneur In Residence at BioGenerator from March 2018 to December 2018. From April 2016 to February 2018, they served as the Head of Life Science Reagents & Kits at MilliporeSigma, a division of Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany. Before that, they had various roles at Sigma-Aldrich, including Merck KGaA/Sigma-Aldrich Integration Planning Office, Director of Business Development, Manager of Strategy & Corporate Development, R&D Manager, and Principal Scientist. Heather Holemon also worked as the Manager of Biomarker Assay Development at Orion Genomics from 2004 to 2006, Senior Scientist/Arrays Manager at EMD Biosciences from 2003 to 2004, Senior Director of R&D at ProteoPlex, Inc. from 2002 to 2003, and as a Consultant at The Mattson Jack Group from 2001 to 2002. Heather started their career as a Group Leader of Product Development at Incyte Genomics in 1999.

Heather Holemon obtained their Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from Washington University in St. Louis, which they completed between 1993 and 2000. Following this, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree at Washington University in St. Louis from 2010 to 2011.
