Shivam Sharma, PhD, currently serves as an International Agribusiness Expert at FAO since May 2024, focusing on sustainable agrifood systems in the Pacific Islands. With extensive experience in strategy and innovation within the agritech sector, Shivam has held key roles such as Director of Strategy & Partnership at Absolute® and Agtech Startups Mentor at TIH-IoT. Previous positions include Deputy Director of Agtech Innovation at the Confederation of Indian Industry and Lead of Ag-Tech Incubation at the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare in India. Shivam co-founded One Acre Technologies, emphasizing drone technology for agriculture, and has contributed significantly to various agricultural initiatives throughout a career marked by strategic vision and a commitment to fostering innovation. Academically, Shivam holds a PhD in Agriculture and Plant Biotechnology, alongside an Executive MBA and qualifications in precision agriculture and drone technology.
