Alex Schwartz is the founder and CEO of absurd:joy, a software development studio that specializes in virtual reality (VR) gaming experiences. Alex has over 10 years of experience in the video game industry, having worked at major companies such as Google, Owlchemy Labs, and Seven45 Studios. Prior to their work in video games, Alex Schwartz was an iPhone game developer at eBay.

Alex Schwartz is a well-known figure in the VR community, having given talks and keynote speeches at various conferences around the world. Alex is also the co-founder of VR Austin, one of the largest VR meetup groups in the United States.

After completing a BS in Interactive Media + Game Development, Alex Schwartz attended Worcester Polytechnic Institute to study computer science and psychology.
