Thomas Trier Bjerring, PhD, serves as the Associate Principal Data Scientist at the Abu Dhabi Investment Council, leading a team focused on advanced analytics and quantitative research for equity portfolio management. With a rich background in quantitative finance, Thomas previously held roles as a Senior Data Scientist and a Quantitative Analyst, where responsibilities included portfolio construction and risk modeling. As a co-founder of both Robust Investment Systems and a quantitative investment firm, Thomas has experience in driving data-driven decision-making for investment strategies. An accomplished academic, Thomas earned a PhD in Financial Engineering and Operations Research from the Technical University of Denmark, where research focused on stochastic optimization and financial modeling.
