Ahmed Refaat has a strong background with over 20 years of work experience. Ahmed is currently serving as the Chief Product & Commercial Officer (CPO&CCO) at ADIB - Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank since April 2021. Prior to this, Ahmed worked at Groupe SAVENCIA for over a decade, assuming several roles in Sales and Marketing. During their time there, they managed the Marketing mix, served as an executive committee member, and led global innovation projects. Before that, Ahmed was the Regional Marketing Manager for McDonald's in the Middle East GCC & Levant region, where they oversaw marketing teams and strategies for eight countries. Ahmed also provided expertise and counsel to operations management to achieve market share, sales, profits, and new store openings. Additionally, Ahmed held roles at Publicis Groupe, Nestlé, Citi, and Al Mostafa for Trade and Distribution, where they gained experience in business and client service leadership, brand management, and sales management.
Ahmed Refaat has a diverse education history. Ahmed obtained a Certified Corporate Director-(Board Member) degree from EIod-FRA-IFC in 2023. In 2013, they completed an Executive Program in Management & Excellence from HEC Paris. Additionally, in 2015, they participated in the Marketing Excellence Executive Program at ESCP Business School.
Ahmed also pursued a SEP (Strategic Executive Program) in Business from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad in 2010. Earlier, from 1994 to 1997, they attended Helwan University Cairo, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management.
