Jawwad Khalid

Jawwad Khalid currently serves as the Head of Liabilities at ADIB - Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank since October 2022. Previously held the position of Vice President - Head of Products - Liabilities & FX at Emirates Islamic from February 2018 to October 2022. As a founding member of Waqfe in late 2017, Jawwad also worked as a Retail Liabilities Products SME at EY for a brief period in mid-2017. Prior experience includes roles such as AVP - Head of Business Banking Products at Dubai Islamic Bank and Senior Manager - Products & Segments at Al Hilal Bank. Jawwad's career began at Citibank in 2002 and includes positions at RAKBANK, Barclays Bank, and various banks specializing in product management and risk management. Educational qualifications comprise a Master in Digital Product Management from Nuclio Digital School, an MBA from the University of Strathclyde, an Islamic Finance Qualification from the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment, and a Bachelor of Commerce from Bangalore University.
