Tariq Ajmal

Tariq Ajmal has a diverse work experience in the banking sector. Tariq started their career as a Relationship Associate at Bank Alfalah Limited, where they successfully built a larger asset book than assigned for a new branch. Tariq then moved to ABN AMRO Bank N.V. as a Senior Relationship Executive, handling retail liabilities and asset products. Tariq also supervised a team of Relationship Executives during their time at the head office. Tariq then joined First Gulf Bank as a Team Manager in SME Banking, where they later became a Team Leader in Credit Risk and Policy. Tariq was responsible for portfolio building and managing risk during lending and relationship management. Currently, Tariq works at ADIB - Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank as a Business Unit Head for Business Banking Units, focusing on the development of the Islamic Bank's asset book for the segment. Tariq'srole includes handling relationships with asset customers, providing advisory services, and maintaining risk parameters. Tariq has extensive experience working with key internal and external stakeholders to successfully manage their role.

Tariq Ajmal completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance and Financial Management Services from Bahauddin Zakariya University between 2001 and 2003. Tariq also completed a Mini-MBA program at McGill University in 2017-2018.
