We develop Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning software to assist our customers’ asset integrity needs and processes through a 3D ‘digital twin’ of customer assets. Using drones and Abyss analytics is just the beginning, Abyss comprehensively classifies the ‘state’ of the asset to identify exactly what maintenance is required, providing precise direction.
Position Summary
This hybrid HR & Facility Administrator role at Abyss Solutions will be pivotal in supporting and maintaining the Australian office, maintaining and building culture and assisting in the day-to-day running of the office. This is along with supporting operational processes and talent acquisition strategies within our Australian operations. This role will ensure smooth HR processes, maintain cultural harmony, administer HRIS, manage local compliance, and coordinate with HR vendors.
Abyss is geographically dispersed with offices in the US and Pakistan, with the team in Sydney being the origin of the company and is composed of several awesome teams of software engineers, machine learning specialists, and robotics engineers.
The successful candidate will require an open mindset, a capacity to operate independently with minimal direction, constantly seek to challenge themselves and encourage others to do the same. They will contribute to enhancing policies and procedures, managing the employee lifecycle, and fostering a positive work environment and will be expected to seek out and take ownership of any tasks that assist with the day-to-day running of the local Sydney office.
Key Responsibilities
Administer HRIS and ensure data residency accuracy and organizational integrity.
Support the development, implementation, and revamping of policies and procedures to ensure effective administration.
Ensure compliance with local employment laws and regulations.
Assist in local Abyss organization culture initiatives.
Coordinate, manage, and collaborate with local facilities and HR vendors to ensure seamless service delivery.
Assist with the preparation and distribution of offers and employment contracts.
Manage employee records, ensuring confidentiality and data security.
Support the local recruitment process, ensuring a seamless and positive candidate experience.
Suggest and implement strategies to attract and retain top talent.
Assist in the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, interviewing, and onboarding.
Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and create effective job descriptions.
Maintain and promote a positive and inclusive company culture.
Address and escalate employee concerns and grievances to foster a peaceful and collaborative work environment.
Organize and facilitate team-building activities and events to enhance employee engagement.
Assist in the design and implementation of performance management processes.
Provide support to managers in setting and achieving performance goals.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of organizational culture development initiatives.
Fulfil any other tasks or responsibilities as assigned or addressed by the manager.
Assist with facilitating employee benefits for Abyssians.
