Toby Dunne

Toby Dunne has a strong background in software engineering and technical roles. Toby is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at Abyss Solutions Pty Ltd since March 2019. Prior to that, they founded iOn Sport Pty Ltd in 2016 and served as the Founder and Technical Director. In this role, they took ownership of major project deliveries and worked on statistical analysis of NRL player events. Toby also worked as a Software Engineering Consultant - Data Modelling at Fathom from 2016 to 2018. Toby Dunne has experience as a High Performance Computing Specialist - GIS Modelling at the University of Bristol from 2014 to 2016. Before that, they worked as a Technical Director at Intrinsic Security Pty Ltd, where they were involved in consultancy, engineering design, software development, integration, and project management for security systems. Toby founded iOn Sport Pty Ltd in 2011, where they provided sports video and statistical analysis technology for elite sporting teams. Toby Dunne was also the Technical Director and Co-founder of Vision Intelligence, specializing in developing custom IP surveillance solutions from 2009 to 2011. Prior to that, they worked as a Research and Development Manager at Zylotech, overseeing hardware and software development for scalable IP video and sensor management software. Toby started their career as an Online Engineer at AOL Australia in 2000.

Toby Dunne completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Software Engineering at the University of Technology Sydney from 1999 to 2004. In addition to their degree, they also obtained several certifications, including Machine Learning from Coursera in March 2013, Programming a Robotic Car from Udacity in April 2012, and Artificial Intelligence from Udacity in December 2011.
