Satendra Chauhan

Satendra Chauhan has extensive experience in the field of chemical research and development. Satendra is currently working at Abzena as the Senior Director of Process Development Chemistry, where they are responsible for the development and scale-up of processes for manufacturing synthetic drug substances. Prior to this role, they served as the Director of Process Development Chemistry and GMP Manufacturing at the same company. Satendra has also worked as a Consultant at Advanced Chemistry Consulting, where they specialized in GLP/cGMP manufacturing and process research and development. Satendra has experience in peptide-based drug design and development. Additionally, Satendra has served as an Adjunct Faculty at both Penn State University and Delaware County Community College, where they taught organic chemistry classes. Satendra has also held positions as the President and CEO/CSO at Peptides International, Inc., Chief Scientific Officer at the same company, and Director of R&D/Organic Chemistry at Bachem Bioscience Inc. Throughout their career, Satendra has contributed to the design and execution of synthetic organic chemistry research projects, developed novel synthetic strategies, and prepared validation protocols and batch records. Satendra has also conducted research on glycosides and drug inhibitors for viral neuraminidase. Satendra Chauhan holds an MBA degree in Technology Management from the University of Phoenix, which they obtained from 2003 to 2006. Prior to that, they pursued a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry at The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda from 1985 to 1988. Satendra also completed an M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry from D.S College, Aligarh during the years 1979 to 1981.
