Wyn Forrest-Owen

Wyn Forrest-Owen has extensive work experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry. They held the position of VP, Site Operations and Quality at Abzena, a bioconjugate- and biologics-focused CDMO. Prior to that, they served as Senior Director, Quality & Operations at Abzena and as the Quality Assurance Site Head at Fisher BioServices.

Before joining Abzena and Fisher BioServices, Wyn Forrest-Owen worked at Abcam as the Head of Production Sciences and Global Quality Assurance. They were responsible for leading a global team and delivering antibody projects on time and within budget.

Earlier in their career, Wyn Forrest-Owen was the Head of Cell Line Development at MedImmune/Cambridge Antibody Technology. They led a team responsible for developing therapeutic antibodies and implemented a Quality Management System and a lean manufacturing process.

Their career began as a Research Assistant at the Department of Medicine, University of Bristol, where they conducted research on cell signaling and reproductive endocrinology. Prior to that, they worked as a Production Chemist at Euro/DPC Ltd. Llanberis.

Throughout their career, Wyn Forrest-Owen has demonstrated leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to innovation and quality in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry.

Wyn Forrest-Owen earned a BSc. (Hon's) Applied Biology degree from Liverpool John Moores University between 1987 and 1991. In 2016, they completed training in Management & Leadership with Gustav Käser. Additionally, in 2015, they received certification in Mental Health First Aid.
