Sultan McDoom

Sultan McDoom has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Sultan began their career as a Control System Engineer at General Electric before moving on to roles such as Senior Test Engineer at Nortel Networks and then Senior Test Engineer at Honeywell Aerospace. Sultan then transitioned into managerial positions, serving as an Engineering Manager at Nortel Networks and later as a Manager at Siemens Communication Networks. Sultan also played key roles in various companies, including Director at Qtera Corp. (Acquired by Nortel), VP of Engineering and Operations at Optovia Corporation (Acquired by JDSU), VP of Engineering and Operations at Menara Networks, and New Product Introduction Program Management at OCLARO. Sultan is currently working as the Director of Product Engineering at Acacia Communications Inc.

Sultan McDoom attended the University of Ottawa from 1977 to 1981, pursuing a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
