Alyse Collins has extensive experience in various roles throughout their career. Alyse currently serves as the Director of Student Success at Academic Programs International (API), where they manage mass emergencies, provides emergency support to teams and students on-site, and handles after-hours emergency calls. Prior to this, they worked at Portland State University as a Senior Program Advisor, where they provided guidance to students on international programs and coordinated events. Alyse also worked at Jet Set Sports as an Assistant Program Manager, overseeing Olympic training programs and managing logistics. Additionally, they served as a Committee Member at NCSA and worked as a Test Engineer at VeriTest. Earlier in their career, they held roles such as Education Abroad Advisor at Portland State University, Assistant Program Manager at Jet Set Sports, Program Associate at Earlham College, Database Technician at the City of Portland Affirmative Action, and Japanese Teacher at Clark College Community Education.

Alyse Collins has a strong educational background. Alyse obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and Affairs from Brigham Young University, attending from 1991 to 1997. Later, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in International and Intercultural Communication from Portland State University for four years, between 2003 and 2007. Returning to Portland State University in 2016, Alyse completed a Graduate Certificate in Workforce Development and Training, concluding their formal education.
