VP Of Strategic Programming at Academic Programs International (API)

Kyle Anderson has extensive experience in the field of education and international programs. Kyle is currently the VP of Strategic Programming at Academic Programs International (API), a role they have held since October 2021. Prior to this, they served as a member of API's Strategic Academic Advisory Board from September 2020 to October 2021. Kyle has also been an Editorial Board Member for Liberal Education at the Association of American Colleges and Universities since July 2020. In addition, they have served on the Board of Directors for Parami University of Liberal Arts and Sciences since September 2020 and the Cetana Educational Foundation since 2015. Kyle previously worked at Clemson University as the Senior Director for Global Engagement from July 2019 to October 2021. Prior to that, they held various roles at Centre College, including Director of the Center for Global Citizenship, Director of the Centre Summer Language Institute, and Chair of Asian Studies and Chinese Studies. Kyle was also involved in the Parami University Founding Committee as the Director of External Affairs from 2016 to September 2020.

Kyle Anderson holds a diverse education background. Kyle completed their Bachelor's Degree in Comparative Literature and Italian at Brigham Young University from 2000 to 2003. Following this, they pursued a Master's Degree in Comparative Literature at the same institution from 2003 to 2005.

In 2005, Kyle joined Penn State University, where they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Comparative Literature in 2010. During their doctoral studies, they also participated in cultural exchange programs. From 2007 to 2008, they undertook a Fulbright program at National Taiwan University, focusing on Classical and Modern Chinese. In 2009 to 2010, they continued their Fulbright experience at Sapienza Università di Roma, further exploring Sino-Italian cultural exchange. Additionally, in 2010, they engaged in a Fulbright-Hays Fellowship at Beijing Normal University, concentrating on Chinese Language and Literature.

Demonstrating a commitment to lifelong learning, Kyle Anderson obtained the IBM Introduction to Artificial Intelligence certification from IBM in May 2023.
