Cardelle Spangler is the current Director at the Academy for Urban School Leadership. Prior to this, Spangler worked as a Senior Auditor and Cloud Services Manager at ORBA - Ostrow Reisin Berk & Abrams, Ltd. from December 2013 to December 2018.
Spangler has a wealth of experience in auditing, taxation, and cloud services. As a senior auditor, Spangler was responsible for leading strategic planning, team development, reporting, evaluations, risk mitigation, and business development for a variety of clients. Spangler was also an active member of ORBA's manufacturing niche group where they wrote topical blogs and newsletters, discussed current client needs, and developed new business relationships.
In ORBA's cloud services department, Spangler managed all bookkeeping functions, prepared month-end reconciliations and financial statements, updated and maintained complex financial models used for budgeting, forecasting, and inventory management, updated and coordinated processes and procedures for the entire accounting function, provided meaningful analytics and reports for management to analyze operations and trends, managed all year-end tasks and completed year-end close, and coordinated with outside tax preparers and other related third parties.
Spangler's experience in both the public accounting sector and cloud services makes their uniquely qualified for their current role as Director at the Academy for Urban School Leadership.
Cardelle Spangler received a BA in Accounting from Purdue University Krannert School of Management. Cardelle also has an Associates of Science degree from McHenry County College. Cardelle attended Prairie Ridge High School and Cary Grove High School.
