Vadim Turchin

Vadim Turchin is a seasoned Creative Director currently working at Amazon since August 2024, contributing to the Visual Innovation Team with expertise in CG, animation, AI, technology, and strategy. Vadim serves as a Board Member for the Visual Effects Society and an instructor at the Academy of Animated Art, teaching Introduction to Photoreal Lighting. With prior experience as VFX Supervisor and Creative Director at The Mill and as Co-Head of CG at Moving Picture Company, Vadim has led notable projects such as "Severance," "In The Heights," and "The Last Thing Vadim Wanted." Additional roles include VFX Supervisor for USA Networks and Showtime Networks, overseeing influential series including "Falling Water." Vadim's educational background includes a degree in Character Animation from Vancouver Film School and a BA in Chemistry and Philosophy from the University of Rochester.
