Melanie King

Melanie M. King is a licensed cosmetologist with extensive experience in the beauty industry. Currently serving as the Student Care Manager at Aveda Arts & Sciences Institutes since March 2024, Melanie has also built a successful freelance career as a makeup artist and hairstylist with fierce and fancy. Previous roles include Cosmetology Instructor at Aveda Institute Dallas and Toni & Guy Hairdressing Academy, as well as a Teaching Artist for Desoto Independent School District, where cosmetology skills were taught to middle school students. Early career experience includes working as a Makeup Artist at MAC Cosmetics and as an Administrative Assistant at Contessa Rol Beauty College. Melanie holds a Certificate in Cosmetology from Aveda Institute Atlanta and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Spelman College.
