Joey O'Brien

Joey O'Brien's work experience includes roles as a Senior Quantitative Analyst and Quantitative Analyst at Acadia, where they collaborated with clients to perform qualitative and quantitative analyses, aligning capital calculation models with regulatory requirements. Joey also worked as a PhD Candidate at the University of Limerick, conducting research in applied mathematics and data science, and as a Research Intern studying the causal effect of multiple properties on the risk of financial assets. Prior to that, they interned at the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General, conducting financial audits and developing Excel VBA scripts for automation.

Joey O'Brien has an extensive educational background in mathematics, data science, and finance. Joey obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Applied Mathematics, Network Science, and Data Science from the University of Limerick, where they studied from 2017 to 2021.
