Nathaniel Volfango

Nathaniel Volfango has a diverse work experience. Nathaniel began their career as a Quantitative Developer at Acadia in 2021. In 2023, they became the Owner of Amanuscribe. Prior to that, they worked as a Freelance Audio Typist and LaTeX Typesetter, providing audio typing and transcription services for various clients.

Nathaniel also had experience at Quaternion Risk Management, where they worked as a Consultant from September 2020 to February 2021 and as an Intern from June 2020 to September 2020.

Nathaniel was also a Quantitative Analyst at the UCC Student Managed Fund, contributing to the development of the team's investment strategy using Python. Additionally, they worked as a College Tutor and Maths Tutor at University College Cork, assisting students with their mathematics studies.

Nathaniel gained further experience as a Data Operations Intern at Imagine Software, where they improved their programming and Excel skills, and as an Underwriting Intern at ALD Re DAC, where they created macros to automate processes using MS Excel.

Nathaniel Volfango has a diverse education history. In 2012, they attended Coláiste an Spioraid Naoimh and obtained a Leaving Certificate. Nathaniel then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Financial Mathematics and Actuarial Science at University College Cork from 2015 to 2019. Following their undergraduate studies, in 2019, Nathaniel enrolled in a Master of Science program in Financial and Computational Mathematics at University College Cork, which they completed in 2020.

In addition to their formal education, Nathaniel has also obtained several certifications. In June 2019, they received a MATLAB Onramp Certificate from MathWorks. In the same month, they also completed a course on Machine Learning from Coursera. In September 2019, they obtained a certification in SQL for Data Science from Coursera. Nathaniel'smost recent certification is in HTML, CSS, and Javascript for Web Developers, which they obtained in November 2020, also from Coursera.
