Alissa Rutherford

Alissa Rutherford, MBA, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, currently serves as the Executive Director of People Ops and Strategy at Acadia Pharmaceuticals Inc., starting in January 2023. Prior to this role, Alissa held various positions at the National University System from November 2018 to September 2022, including Associate Vice President of HR and Senior Director of Human Resources. Alissa also worked as a Human Resources Manager/Consultant at GenMark Diagnostics and held the position of Director of Human Resources at Pacific Accountable Management. Earlier career experiences include being a Senior HR Professional at Applied Research Associates and serving as CHRO at New Mexico Heart Institute. Alissa holds an MBA with a specialization in Human Resource Management from National University and a Bachelor of Science in Education with an emphasis in Athletic Training from The University of New Mexico.
