Charmaine Lykins is the SVP, Global Product Planning and Chief Marketing Officer at Acadia Pharmaceuticals. Charmaine has over 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, specializing in marketing and product development.

Charmaine began their career at Eli Lilly and Company in 1994 as a marketing director for the bipolar and depression strategy. Charmaine then moved to Xanodyne Pharmaceuticals in 2009 as a brand leader. In 2010, they became the marketing director at Sunovion Pharmaceuticals Inc. and held that position for two years before being promoted to Senior Director of Global Marketing in 2013. Charmaine left Sunovion in 2012 to join Lundbeck as Vice President Global Marketing for schizophrenia. Charmaine returned to Sunovion in 2013 as Acting Head of Sales and Marketing for Sunovion Europe. In 2018, they joined Acadia Pharmaceuticals as SVP, Global Product Planning and Chief Marketing Officer.

Charmaine has played a key role in the development and launch of several successful products, including Abilify, Zyprexa, Seroquel, Latuda, and Fanapt. Charmaine has also been instrumental in developing and executing marketing strategies for products in various stages of development, including bifeprunox, cariprazine, and lurasidone.

Under Charmaine’s leadership, the marketing team at Acadia has received numerous awards, including the PharmaTimes International Marketer of the Year award (2019), the PMEA Brand

Charmaine Lykins has an MBA from the Darla Moore School of Business and a BS in Chemistry from Ball State University. Charmaine also has certification from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in Series 7 and 63.

They work with Diann Potestio - SVP, Global Market Access, Reimbursement & Distribution, Kathie M. Bishop - SVP, Head of Rare Disease and External Innovation, and Stephanie Fagan - SVP Corporate Affairs & Chief Communications Officer. Their manager is Stephen R. Davis, President & CEO.
