Hannah Byers currently serves as the Emergency Preparedness Coordinator for the Georgia Health Care Association/Georgia Center for Assisted Living, a position held since May 2019, where Hannah provides resources and education to support the long-term care community. In addition, Hannah has volunteered as a Lunch Buddy with the Athens Community Council on Aging since January 2017, visiting older adults facing social isolation and hunger. Previously, from July 2017 to April 2019, Hannah worked as a Wellness Coach for the Athens-Clarke County Unified Government, focusing on physical activity and wellness goal-setting. Hannah's earlier experience includes serving as a Medical Records Assistant and Ward Clerk at Canton Convalescent Center from June 2012 to December 2016, managing medical records and assisting with training new employees. Hannah holds a Master of Public Health in Gerontology and a Bachelor of Science in Public Health Education and Promotion from The University of Georgia.
