Maria Helena Oliveira has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Maria Helena started their career at American Apparel, where they held positions as a Retail Store Manager and later as a District Manager. In 2018, Maria worked as a Marketing Consultant for Jolt Action, focusing on developing social media content and executing paid marketing campaigns. Maria Helena also served as a Marketing Consultant for the Cristina Tzintzun-Ramirez Senatorial Campaign Launch, providing digital marketing strategy and branding consultation. In 2017, Maria joined Laissez Fair as a Marketing Director. From 2014 to 2022, they were the Co-Founder and Marketing Director of Passport Vintage, an Austin-based vintage store specializing in denim and vintage tees. Maria also worked at Google as a Senior Project Manager in 2022 and at Accelerate Change Network as a Project Manager and currently as the Director of Content Experimentation.

Maria Helena Oliveira completed their education with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Change Leadership for Equity and Inclusion from the University of Central Arkansas from 2023 to 2025. Prior to that, they obtained a Master's degree in Leadership and Management from Western Governors University in 2022. Maria Helena holds a Bachelor's degree in Organizational Leadership from Texas A&M University-Commerce. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications including Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute in March 2022, Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) and Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from Scrum Alliance in September 2021, and the Google Project Management Certificate from Coursera in July 2021.
