Sean Spear

Sean Spear is an experienced educator and administrator with a significant background in compliance, accreditation, and instructional management. Currently serving as the Compliance and Accreditation Manager and Head of School for Accelerate Online Academy since January 2020, Sean has previously held senior positions at Western Governors University from 2004 to 2019. In roles such as Senior Manager of Compliance for Licensure and Manager of Compliance, Accreditation, and Licensure, Sean managed licensure activities across multiple colleges and overseen accreditation processes with various regional and functional accrediting bodies. Additionally, Sean has experience in faculty management and curriculum development for science education programs. Sean holds a Doctor of Education (EdD) in Educational Leadership and Change from Fielding Graduate University and a Master of Arts in Educational/Instructional Technology from Pepperdine University.
