Charles Porter

Charles Porter is an FAA Certified Commercial Drone Pilot (14 CFR Part 107) since 2022. In 2021, they co-founded and served as Secretary of the Seattle Children's Innovation Guild. The Guild was launched to focus on advancing biomedical innovation for all children. From 2018 to 2021, they served as an elected member of the Town Council of Yarrow Point, WA, and a member of the Storm Water Utility Board. From 2004 to 2021, they served on the Board of Trustees at Seattle University, including the Coronavirus Crisis Management Committee, Presidential Search Committee, Student Development Committee, Brand, Reputation & External Affairs Committee, Facilities & Technology Committee, and University Strategic Planning Committee. Charles was also a board member of the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Center and a member of the Presidential Task Force for Applied Data Science. From 2018 to 2021, they were an investor and advisor at Tuzag, Inc., an investor and board member at Theo Chocolate, a WIN Mentor at the Life Science Washington Institute, President of the King County Water District #1, and Co-Founder and Advisory Board Member at AccelOne. From 2008 to 2021, they were an investor and advisor at ClevX, LLC.

Charles Porter earned their MBA in Finance and Computer Simulation from the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business between 1972 and 1974. Prior to that, they obtained a BA in Math/Computer Science from Gonzaga University between 1968 and 1972.
