Michael Detmer

Associate Vice President - Clinical Learning And Development at AccentCare

Michael Detmer's work experience begins in 2012 when they held various roles at The University of Kansas, including Programs and Education Coordinator at The Center for Sexuality and Gender Diversity. In 2015, they became a Music Therapist at Norton Healthcare and an Adjunct Professor at the University of Louisville. In 2017, they co-founded Innovative Therapeutix, where they served as CEO and Co-Founder. Michael also worked as a Fellow at the National Institute for Infant & Child Medical Music Therapy starting in 2018. In 2018, they joined AccentCare, Inc. as the National Director of Learning and Development and later became the Associate Vice President of Clinical Learning and Development. In 2021, they became a Founding Member of Parenthood Ventures, an ecosystem for ParentTech startups.

Michael Detmer earned a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Illinois State University, where they pursued a double major in Music Theatre. Michael attended from 2006 to 2010. Following that, they obtained a Master of Music Therapy degree from The University of Kansas, completing their studies from 2012 to 2014.
