Opheliar Chan

Opheliar Chan is a seasoned expert in application security with extensive experience in leading security initiatives across various sectors. Currently serving as the Canadian Application Security Lead at Accenture since February 2021, Opheliar is responsible for guiding the Canadian Application Security practice to enhance software security for clients. Previously, Opheliar worked at Security Compass from July 2014 to February 2021, initially as a Principal Security Consultant and later as a Director, focusing on implementing security tools within software development lifecycles and supporting US Federal devsecops transformations. Opheliar's earlier roles include Senior Security Consultant at TELUS, where management of penetration testing programs was key, and positions in technical writing and programming at Vizible Corporation and Assurent Secure Technologies. Opheliar graduated with an Honors Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, specializing in Software Engineering, from the University of Toronto in 2005.
