Jeffrey Spears

Jeffrey Spears has extensive experience in the banking and finance industry, holding significant positions in major financial institutions. Currently, Jeffrey serves on the Board of Directors at the Nigerian-American Bilateral Chamber of Commerce and Industry since November 2014, and as a Senior Banking Advisor at Access Bank Plc since January 2011, specializing in business development. Previously, Jeffrey was the Africa Head of Financial Institutions at Standard Chartered Bank from April 2005 to January 2011, overseeing operations across multiple countries and managing a large team. Additional roles include Director and European Head of Funds at Standard Chartered Bank, where Jeffrey built a successful European Fund Management business, and Director, Head of European Pension Funds at HSBC, where initiatives were launched to enhance relationship management for UK and European pension funds. Jeffrey’s career began in 1987, encompassing various managerial roles focusing on sales and relationship management, particularly in derivatives and fixed income markets. Jeffrey holds a degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
