Ayla DeLaat began their work experience in 2010 as a Community Advisor at Eastern Washington University, where they successfully handled difficult situations with students and maintained an organized schedule. In 2013, they interned at Northwest Aerospace Technologies, where they used their drafting skills to create 3D models and assisted in making revisions to aircraft manufacturing drawings. From 2014 to 2016, Ayla worked at AIM Aerospace Inc. as a Manufacturing Planner, where they prepared technical documents and instructions for the manufacturing process. Ayla also reviewed engineering drawings for correctness. Ayla then transitioned to the role of Manufacturing Engineer, where they designed and implemented tooling both independently and on teams using Catia. In 2017, Ayla joined Access Laser Company as a Manufacturing Engineer, working closely with production staff to develop new manufacturing processes and tools. Ayla also provided insight and knowledge of producibility for final product revisions.
Ayla DeLaat, EIT completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Eastern Washington University between 2009 and 2013. Ayla also obtained the Engineer in Training certification from the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) in April 2014.
