Wydeman Coetzee

Wydeman is an experienced Legal, Policy and Government Affairs professional managing legal and policy issues at national, regional and global level within the Telecommunications, Liquor/Beverages industries and Government.

He recently headed the Legal, Regulatory and Compliance department at Smile Telecoms Holdings Ltd, a Pan African Mobile Telecoms Operator with operations in Nigeria, Uganda, Tanzania and the DRC. Previously, he was employed at Ericsson (Middle East & Africa), where he led advocacy and policy implementation projects in Africa. Prior to that he worked at South African Breweries, where he was responsible for the Regulatory Affairs unit in South Africa. He also worked as a Legal Advisor in Government and provided legal advice to the assigned departments.
